Kaylee Studna

Owner, Instructor, & Director

Kaylee graduated from Oral Roberts University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication, Arts, and Media in 2015.

She started her early training at the age of three, taking dance lessons.  At the age of 7, she began taking private vocal lessons and attending acting workshops with Brad Zimmerman at Chestnut Fine Arts.  At the age of 9, she auditioned for her first main stage musical, The Wizard of Oz, with Christian Youth Theater (CYT).  Over the next several years she participated in: Annie, The Lion the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sleeping Beauty, Charlotte's Web, Scrooge, Tom Sawyer, and The Little Princess.

After many years with CYT, Kaylee participated in musicals at the Culture House which included: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Sleeping Beauty, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Joseph, and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Rainmaker, and Every Little Crook and Nanny.

At the age of 14, Jesus spoke to her heart revealing to Kaylee that her Calling and Purpose was to raise up a generation of students who glorified HIM through their talents and giftings, becoming the best director was now Kaylee’s new dream.

She was accepted into The Artistic Developmental Program (ADP), at The Culture House.  This was a two-year program where she was trained under instructors like Craig Benton (Stout), Danon Park, Jeremiah Enna, Kelly Reitmeier, Christiane Lisabe, and Marc Wayne.

During high school, she was a part of Progressive 4-H club, where she won 1st place in Voice, Swing Dance, and Line Dance, 3 years in a row.  She also led two teams to the regional dance competition, winning 1st and 3rd place.  In Kaylee's Junior and Senior years of high school she choreographed several children’s touring groups.  She also directed all the productions at Crosspoint Assembly in Paola until she graduated from high school.

After high school while attending Oral Roberts University she was the Stage Manager for productions like Picnic, Hello Dolly, Much Ado About Nothing, South Pacific, Little Women, Star-Spangled Girl, and Tintypes a Historical Review.  She Directed The Glass Menagerie and Amahl and the Night Visitors.  She studied under Courtneay Sanders, Laura Holland, Dafne Basave-Mead, Wesley Brainerd, and Leslie Jennings.

For 5 years Kaylee was the Theater Director at The Landing church, in Glenpool Oklahoma.

In 2016 Kaylee returned to the KC area.  She taught Acting Classes. Vocal Lessons, and Musical Theater.  She was a part of 22 different musicals, working on artistic teams from Christian Youth Theater, Inspired Purpose, Trailridge Middle School, The Daniel Academy, and Crosspoint Churches (Paola and Shawnee.)

Kaylee is super excited to be teaching Musical Theater and offering Vocal Lessons!  This is truly her passion and what she feels she was created to do.  She plans to teach all levels of students from ages 4-18; she hopes to share with every student her own experiences and knowledge she has gleaned through the years!

Research has proven, and Kaylee knows from first-hand experience, that students who participate in Theater build confidence on and off the stage.  She can't wait to see every student grow in their talents and giftings, becoming the very best they can be.

Kaylee and her husband James just celebrated their 2 year anniversary in January of 2022.  They live in Spring Hill with their dog Lady!
