A Musical Review (Ages 8-12)

Service Description

A Musical Review class will acquaint students with the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dance. Along with theater vocabulary, and the process of constructive critique while seeking to develop a deeper appreciation for the mental, physical, and emotional demands of theater. Students will learn how performers approach warm-ups, explore how actors access the thoughts, feelings, and actions of a character, learn the basics of play production, and explore what goes into a successful audition. Our time together will include team work and collaboration, improvisation games, character analysis, monologue and/or duet performances, and small group performances as we work towards building confidence and trust amongst our fellow actors, strong personal stage presence, believability, and a deeper appreciation for and understanding of the theater. Instructor: Kaylee Studna Materials Fee: $25.00 for supplies/copies (Check payable to Instructor) Required Supplies: highlighters, pens & pencils, notebook paper, 2 Folders. 10 week class Starting Friday March 26th-Saturday June 5th $15 a week
